John will serve as assistant conductor for the Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic and Interim Director of Orchestral Studies, Daniel Nesta Curtis​, and guest conductor, Gerard Schwarz, in a program featuring works by Howard Hanson and Gustav Mahler.​
