The music evokes the city‑state at the height of its power during the Greek Classical period, particularly around the Peloponnesian War (431–404 BCE), when Sparta emerged as the dominant force in the Greek world. This piece seeks to capture the psychological landscape of a society shaped by rigorous training, communal identity, and an unwavering commitment to martial excellence.
